Eva Rimbau Gilabert is an expert in people management, specializing in flexible work and teleworking, transformations in the people management function in the face of digitalization, and evidence-based management. He has participated in numerous lectures and communications and has published both research and informative articles on these issues.

 

Her interest in channeling knowledge from the academic environment to management practice has led her to carry out consulting work with private sector organizations, to intervene in various media in Spain (television, radio, press) and to act as a trainer and lecturer in international management forums.

 

 

Professional Experience

 

• Eva’s professional life began as an associate professor at the University of Barcelona and generalist in the corporate human resources area of a communications group. In 2004 she joined the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) as a professor of Human Resources, where she continues to carry out her main academic activity.

 

• As part of her knowledge transfer activities, she is a member of the Scientific Council of the Future For Work Institute, an independent observatory on the future of work and people management in organizations. She has also participated as an expert in the (New) Ways of Working project of the Spanish Association of People Management and Development (AEDIPE). She also coordinates the design of the UOC’s new work model and participates in the development of the institution’s new ways of working.

 

 

Academic experience

 

• Eva is an associate professor in the area of Human Resources at the UOC, where she has held positions of academic responsibility in undergraduate (Labor Sciences), graduate (Graduate Area of Economics and Business, Master in Occupational Risk Prevention) and PhD (Information and Knowledge Society) programs.

• She is a member of the Digital Business Research Group (DigiBiz) of the UOC, accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya. He has developed research projects with national and European funding related to his areas of expertise. He has a six-year research period recognized by CNEAI (Comisión Nacional Evaluadora de la Actividad Investigadora).

• Her most recent research projects are the following:

2022-2023: “Limits to permanent connectivity at work: health and business competitiveness”, funded by the Generalitat Valenciana.

2021-2023: “Smart working and Open Learning”, funded by the European Commission. Principal investigator in the work package led by the UOC.

2018-2020: “Digitalization and work: the impact of economy 4.0 on employment, labor relations and social protection, challenges and opportunities”, funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
