An expert in Protocol and Social, Institutional and Business Relations, Professor Cristina Cejas combines her academic training with extensive professional experience in the area of Institutional Protocol.

 

 

ACADEMIC Training

 

• Cristina Cejas holds a degree in Political Science and Sociology, specializing in Public Administration, from the University of Granada. In 1997 she obtained the Certificate of Political Studies in the Specialty of International Relations at the Robert Schumann University in Strasbourg, France. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training in Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, Language and Sports Education, specializing in Spanish Language and Literature, from the European University.

• She has obtained the title of Specialist in State and International Protocol and Ceremonial, by the University of Oviedo and the title of University Expert in Protocol by the University of La Laguna, as well as the title of Protocol and Social, Institutional and Business Relations by the Technical School of Barcelona.

• Since 2007, she has been working in the Cabinet of the President of the Government of the Canary Islands as an advisor, and since 2015 as a technician in the Protocol Cabinet of the Presidency of the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Water of the Government of the Canary Islands.

• Currently, she is responsible for Protocol in the Cabinet of the Vice President and Councilor of Finance, Budget and European Affairs of the Government of the Canary Islands.

• Since 2018, she teaches the subject of Protocol and Organization of Acts of the Degree in Tourism with specialization in Events, Protocol and Public Relations at Iriarte Centro Universitario.

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

• 2019 – present: protocol technician to the vice-president and minister of finance, budgets and European affairs of the Canary Islands Government.

• 2015 – 2019: technician in the protocol office of the president of the Canary Islands Government.

• Advisor to the cabinet of the minister of agriculture, livestock, fisheries and water of the Government of the Canary Islands

• 2007 – 2017: presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands. advisor to the cabinet of the President of the Government of the Canary Islands.

• 2002 – 2003: Island Council of El Hierro: technician of the employment and local development agency.

• 1997 – 1998: European Parliament of Strasbourg. internship at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France.
